Lakes? Sure, Merrick Pond is close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Treadwell Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Sidney; if you come at the right time of year, Ouleout Creek offers some good whitewater. If you need a place to stay Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a great choice. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Rich Creek is a stream that you may bump into during your stay, and Ox-bow Campsites is a good campground nearby.
