    What a nice lake Beaver Lake is. From a rain point of view Beaver Lake is a relatively normal spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is typically the driest month. All through the warm days of summer highs here at Beaver Lake reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Beaver Lake temperatures  
   sink to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at McCauley Mountain, and let's not forget Alder Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're here.
While you're here at Beaver Lake it's a tremendous idea to stop by Threemile Beaver Meadow; you can go for a hike on the Norridge Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Beaver Lake. Looking for something in the vicinity of Beaver Lake? Woodwardia Pond
 
               is close by, and great skiing awaits you at Snow Ridge. You're probably keen on lakes, Francis Lake is one of those close by, and Beaver Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Brook Campsites is a magnificent local campground.
Going for a hike on the Salmon Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure, and a pleasant place to camp here at Beaver Lake is Singing waters Campground. There are great spots to explore along the Post Henderson Trail, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Beaver River. This lake is so wonderful.

85 years ago my mother who lived in Brooklyn spent her vacations at Lake Twitchell,she said once she went to the adirondacks she never went back to the catskills. I got up this morning and thought of her conversations about the lake and decided to look it up, I hope it's still as beautiful as she described it so many years ago,I still have her snap shots....
