Do stop by Beaver Lake while you're in this part of New York. Indian River flows through this vicinity; if you come at the right time of year, Indian River offers some good whitewater. Beaver Lake is a relatively wet place commonly with much precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Beaver Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and throughout summer

that. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a good time. At Beaver Lake you can see Mitchell Ponds Mountain, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Moose River - South Branch.
You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at McCauley Mountain while you're here; a lake close by is Squaw Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. The Norridge Trail is a fine hiking trail
near Beaver Lake; Beaver Lake is not the only location nearby, Mitchell Ponds is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Tioga Point State Campground is a tremendous site to do that. Be careful coming to
the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. There is a glorious hiking trail next to Beaver Lake called the Twin Lakes Trail; Inlet Golf Club is a delightful golf course close by.
