This lake is so wonderful. Sharparoon Pond is a magnificent lake in the neighborhood of Bear Swamp, and here at Bear Swamp you can see Bald Mountain. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do near Bear Swamp. An afternoon playing golf at Dutcher Golf Course is always a joy, and you can run the rapids of Ten Mile River. There       are other places here than Bear Swamp, for example Ore Pond, and Bear Swamp is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kettletown State Park is a good local campground. An average amount of precipitation falls at Bear Swamp; during May this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest. All through the long summer days at Bear Swamp temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 60's. For the duration of the                  wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while Bear Swamp nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's.
