This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. For the period of the warm months at Bear Pond highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; nighttime lows at Bear Pond during the wintertime mostly descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Pond is great enough to spend more than a day       at, Green Acres By The Brook is a great local campground, and there's splendid hiking along the Bear Pond Trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Camping at Brookwood Park Campsite is always a pleasant experience, and there's whitewater on Putnam Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Bear Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is the                  month with the least moisture. Swamps are out of the ordinary sites and Peshette Swamp in close proximity to Bear Pond is no exception; Crown Point Bay is not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Pond is right by the Rock Pond Trail, and a splendid close by hotel is Hague Motel. Having a brilliant time at Bear Pond is simple. Belfred Court Motel is a tremendous place to get some rest, and you can run the rapids of Mill Creek. If you get bored of Bear Pond, you could also visit nearby Clear Pond, and a brilliant vista of picturesque Bear Pond Mountain is available. Just can't get enough of the Adirondack Mountains.
