Why not camp at Chautauqua Heights Campground if you're here at Bear Lake; you can hit the slopes at Peek N Peak close at hand. At Bear Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are usually in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bear Lake. Bear Lake is a wet site that gets lots of rain; September       is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bear Lake. People from Jamestown-Dunkirk-Fredonia love to come to Bear Lake; a good close by hotel is The White Inn. A good place to camp here at Bear Lake is D J's Campgrounds, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Dunkirk is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is                  wonderful on Chautauqua Creek, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Cassadaga Lakes Golf Club is nearby.
