Bartlett Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Bear Pond Trail; while you're here, you could also stop by stunning North Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Basin Harbor Club; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Boquet River. This lake is so wonderful. great local campground, and if you need a site to stay Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains.
If you came for an overnight stay Craig Harbor Canyon is a good location to camp; Bald Peak can be seen from Bartlett Pond. Bartlett Pond is a good place of normal rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest
month is February. Throughout the months of summer here at Bartlett Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Bartlett Pond tend to be in the 0's.

Oxshoe Pond
 | 16 miles away What a terrific place to spend the night or even a few days. I went there on my first hike ever, and I am going back this week. It is about a 3-4 hour hike into the trail, but man is it worth it. If you are lucky enough to be the only group there, you will find a lean-2 and fire pit all to yourself. Also, there is a very secluded pond(oxshoe pond) in the same valley, that is just spectacular. A row boat is on hand to use for free for anyone at the site. No cell service with Verizon there, but then again, who needs that? lol again though, an absolutely amazing place to spend a few nights.... |
