The annual rain here at Bartlett Pond is about average; during August this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ausable River - West Branch, and lakes are such calm places, why not explore Lake Placid. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains.
