If you came to camp Mountain View Campground is a glorious location to do that, and Ramada Inn is a fine location to get some rest. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Barns Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Barns Pond sink into the 10's. There's so       much to do here at Barns Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Canaan Campground is a great site for that. A gorgeous lake like Gorton Lake close to Barns Pond is a glorious location to visit, and as expected, all our national parks are splendid places to pop by and Fort Stanwix National Monument is no exception. If you adore the outdoors, you'll love Barns Pond. If you need a place to stay Pinecrest Motel is a nice choice, and one of the major marks of                  the surroundings of Barns Pond is Gorton Hill. Snow Pond is a nice lake right next door to Barns Pond; why not visit nearby Mill Creek if you're here at Barns Pond. From a precipitation point of view Barns Pond is a rather typical location; most of the rain falls during September; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
