What a nice lake Barnhardt Pond is. Whitewater paddling is good on Callicoon Creek - East Branch; hiking is a popular thing to do around Barnhardt Pond; Schiff Trail is a glorious local trail. Do pop by Mud Pond near Barnhardt Pond, it's a pretty lake; why not take a refreshing hike along the Steam Mill Trail. Ski Big Bear is a very popular ski area close at hand, and do take a hike on the Crawford Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Holiday

| | Mountain nearby; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like French Woods Golf & Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Delaware River, and you'll stumble on a charming lake called Lake Huntington. Barnhardt Pond is a relatively wet place commonly with lots of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is when it's the driest. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Barnhardt Pond.
Dry warm beds await you at The Lodge at Woodloch; Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds is a magnificent campground nearby.
