Villa Roma Resort Lodges is a tremendous site to get some rest; going for a hike on the Steam Mill Trail is always a splendid adventure. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Callicoon Creek - East Branch, and there is a magnificent hiking trail close by called the Schiff Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Holiday Mountain is tremendous, and there are some       great whitewater spots on Delaware River. This lake is so wonderful. Barnhardt Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Lander's River Trips is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Crawford Trail. Playing golf is lots of fun at French Woods Golf & Country Club; dry warm beds await you at The Lodge at Woodloch. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Ski Big Bear is a tremendous local ski area.                  You'll need more than a day to explore everything Barnhardt Pond has to offer, you can camp at Woodstock On The Lake Campgrounds. Barnhardt Pond is a wet place that gets much rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is February. During the days of summer at Barnhardt Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
