At Barnes Pond through the warm months highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Barnes Pond descend into the 0's. There's so much to do here at Barnes Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Smoke Rise Campsites is a good place for       that; Center Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. And that's not all you can do here in the Adirondack Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boreas River; a perfect panorama of pretty Green Mountain is available. The yearly rainfall here at Barnes Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Courtyard Lake Placid is                  a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Elk Lake Marcy Trail, and get covered with water paddling on Boreas River - Upper. So many entertaining things in the Adirondack Mountains, just inspiring. If you came to camp Ideal Campsites is a nice spot to do that; why not take a little tour to Hewitt Pond Brook if you're here. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Dividing Ridge Trail; pretty scenery and great skiing is what you get at Gore Mountain. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Barnes Pond, too pleasant to be true.
