Barkley Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Skiing at Willard Mountain is one of those things you just must do; from Barkley Pond you acquire a delightful panorama of Hebron Mountain. Through the months of summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Barkley Pond, and during the night it cools down to the       50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Barkley Pond are in the 0's. Battenkill Sportsquarters Camping is a tremendous campground here; there's magnificent hiking along the Healing Springs Nature Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Lauderdale Campgrounds is a glorious site to camp, and you can never get enough of the good skiing at West Mountain.                  You can run the rapids of Mettawee River near Barkley Pond; Sunshine Inn is a great location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, West Branch Black Creek is a stream you can have a look at while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Town House Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful.
