Get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Cedar River; Whispering woods is a nice local campground. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. From a rain point of view Barker Pond is a reasonably normal spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an       overnight stay Hoss's Country Campground is a great place to camp, and since you're here, you could check out Dun Brook. But wait, there's more to do close to Barker Pond. The Sucker Brook Trail is a brilliant hiking trail near Barker Pond, and a day on the slopes of Gore Mountain is just what you need. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a brilliant time. The warmest time of the year at Barker Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's,                  and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are generally in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Barker Pond tend to be in the 0's.
