A good view of picturesque Dickinson Hill is available from Banker Pond, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Hoosic River. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds is always a splendid experience, and don't leave Banker Pond without first going for a hike along the Taconic Crest Trail. Good hiking is available along the Southeast Hollow Trail, and there's       whitewater on Batten Kill River for all you adrenaline people. A great close by hotel is Midtown Motel, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Banker Pond; Williams Trail is a perfect local trail. For the period of the summertime months here at Banker Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Banker Pond tend                  to be in the 0's. All the outdoors enjoyable things near Banker Pond will keep you coming back again and again. Couch Hollow is a nice place to explore nearby; if you need a location to stay Jericho Valley Inn is a delightful choice. The snow is wonderful at Willard Mountain, and if you came to camp Broken Wheel Campground is a wonderful location to do that. The annual rainfall here at Banker Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
