Ballard Pond is a nice lake to visit. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Denton Lake near Ballard Pond; at Ballard Pond you can see Pawling Mountain. After a long day outdoors Pine Grove Motel is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; get yourself into a kayak and hit Tenmile.
The yearly rain here at Ballard Pond is about average; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.

For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Ballard Pond plunge into the 10's. Clarence Fahnestock State Park.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Smalley Inn is a tremendous choice, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
This is a popular site for people from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown; the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Thunder Ridge; there are some delightful whitewater
spots on Ten Mile River.
This place, Ballard Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Golf can be played at Dutcher Golf Course. There's so much to do here at Ballard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a good location for that.
