If you are traveling by, why not stop by Ballard Lake. Ballard Lake is a place with many visitors from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown; playing golf is lots of fun at Branton Woods Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Sylvan Lake Beach Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you came for an overnight stay Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a fine location to camp. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Ballard Lake. Soar

| | down the rapids of Tenmile in a kayak, and a brilliant close by hotel is Le Chambord.
Grape Hollow is near Ballard Lake and is beyond doubt a tremendous place to visit; if you come at the right time of year, Wappinger Creek offers some delightful whitewater. An average amount of rainfall falls at Ballard Lake; the month with most of the rain is May, and February meanwhile is the driest month.

a good place to spend a night or two. The summit of Big Buck Mountain can be distinguished from Ballard Lake; you're probably keen on lakes, Denton Lake is one of those close by.
