New York has many beautiful lakes and Ballard Lake is one of them. Throughout the warm months at Ballard Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Ballard Lake. From a rain point of view Ballard Lake is a pretty typical spot; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain while February is typically the driest month. much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Thunder Ridge is a brilliant local ski area.
There are other places here than Ballard Lake, for example Little Buck Mountain Pond; if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Branton
Woods Golf Club. Clarence Fahnestock State Park is a nice campground here; since you're here why not go to Grape Hollow. If you need a place to stay Smalley Inn is a good choice, and get soaked paddling on Wappinger Creek.
