The Adirondack Mountains is unbeatable! There's so much to do here at Balfour Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Smoke Rise Campsites is a pleasant spot for that, and there are other sites here than Balfour Lake, for example Bullhead Pond. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. There is a magnificent hiking trail next to Balfour Lake called the Elk Lake Marcy Trail, and Hewitt Eddy is always fun to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Balfour Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Ideal Campsites is a fine local campground, and you obtain a perfect view of Balfour Mountain from here.
