Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a good place to get some rest, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Marion Pond is just a very short distance away. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is so good! Blue Ridge Falls Campsite is a pleasant campground nearby, and you're almost certainly interested in lakes, Warrens Pond is one of those close by. This place, Bailey Pond, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff.

magnificent day you can take a hike along the Elk Lake Marcy Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Near Bailey Pond you stumble on the Van Hoevenberg Trail which
is a glorious hiking trail; Trout Brook River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting things the Adirondack Mountains has to offer. The Dividing Ridge Trail is a great
hiking trail next to Bailey Pond; a quick trip to Bailey Pond Inlet is definitely a great idea. Summertime highs at Bailey Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. The winter brings
highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows at Bailey Pond through the winter ordinarily sink into the 0's. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Bailey Pond; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.

 | 17 miles away 1 PHOTO Pack Forest Lake is on a tributary of Millington Brook in Warren County, New York and is used for recreation purposes. It has a normal surface area of 77 acres. It is owned by Suny College Of Environmental Science and Forestry. There are no motors allowed on the lake. No fires and no overnight camping allowed. Dogs must be on a leash. There is great fishing, canoeing and kayaking. An absolutely beautiful lake in the woods. The lake has handicapped fishing access as well.... |
Oxshoe Pond
 | 17 miles away What a terrific place to spend the night or even a few days. I went there on my first hike ever, and I am going back this week. It is about a 3-4 hour hike into the trail, but man is it worth it. If you are lucky enough to be the only group there, you will find a lean-2 and fire pit all to yourself. Also, there is a very secluded pond(oxshoe pond) in the same valley, that is just spectacular. A row boat is on hand to use for free for anyone at the site. No cell service with Verizon there, but then again, who needs that? lol again though, an absolutely amazing place to spend a few nights.... |
