If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bacon Pond. A perfect swamp near Bacon Pond is Mud Pond; there are other sites here than Bacon Pond, for example Hadlock Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Ledgeview RV Park is always a wonderful experience, and if you need a spot to stay Six Flags Great Escape Lodge is a good choice. Head up to Willard Mountain and strap some skis to your       feet, and Sugar Loaf is a peak you can make out from Bacon Pond. Lakes are such calm sites, why not go to Sly Pond near Bacon Pond, and if you're a golfer then a wonderful close by course is Queensbury C C Golf Course. Summer at Bacon Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Bacon Pond temperatures sink to                  the 0's. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains, not sufficient time. You'll meet a lot of people from Glens Falls here, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Hudson River. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Adirondack Mountains.
