Wayside Inn is a perfect site to get some rest; from Bacon Pond you obtain a good view of Sugar Loaf. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here in the       Adirondack Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hudson River; for you golfers we recommend close by Queensbury C C Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Very delightful scenery and good skiing is what you get at Willard Mountain. The Adirondack Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So many amusing things near Bacon Pond, clearly amazing. Bacon Pond is a great place to camp, Ledgeview                  RV Park is a great place, and if you need a place to stay Takundewide Cottages is a glorious choice. Buttermilk Falls is always fun to check out, and Hadlock Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. At Bacon Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and night lows at Bacon Pond during the winter commonly descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at West Mountain, and a nice swamp near Bacon Pond is Mud Pond.
