Do stop by Ayers Lake while you're in this part of New York. There's great hiking along the California Trail, and Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a nice local campground. Ayers Lake gets a normal amount of rain; the month with most of the rain is June; February is when it's the driest. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Adirondack Mountains is so good! Nearby lakes? Sure, Knapps Long Lake is right next door to Ayers Lake; get soaked paddling

What a place this is for outdoors people. Crystal Grove Diamond Mine is a good campground nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit East Canada Creek. You could also visit Conglin Lakes since you're here at Ayers Lake; it's nearby, and Ayers Lake is a place with many visitors from Amsterdam. This lake is one of the great places here in the Adirondack Mountains.

Mountains has to offer. If you need a location to stay Knights Inn Little Falls is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant location to have a look at in close proximity to Ayers Lake is Burnt Vly; after a long day outdoors
Rodeway Inn Palatine Bridge is a fine place to spend a night or two. High temperatures at Ayers Lake during the summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ayers Lake.
