Avalanche Lake is a beautiful lake in the Adirondack Mountains. Be careful coming to the Adirondack Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Cold Brook is a tremendous local stream, and lakes are such calm places, why not visit Lake Arnold. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Avalanche Lake without first going for a hike along the Hopkins Trail, and a great location       to visit is Avalanche Pass. Skiing at Mount Pisgah is one of those things you just ought to do; there are brilliant sites to explore along the Van Hoevenberg Trail. From a rainfall point of view Avalanche Lake is a relatively normal site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Soar down the rapids of Ausable River - West Branch in a kayak, and on a beautiful day you acquire a tremendous sight                  of Algonquin Peak from Avalanche Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge Lake Placid is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and Avalanche Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Whispering Pines Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. All the outdoors exciting things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. Not far from Avalanche Lake you obtain some magnificent water scenery at Marcy Dam. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Avalanche Lake has to offer, you can camp at Adirondak Loj. Summertime highs at Avalanche Lake regularly tend to be in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Avalanche Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a fine time. Beaver Point is not far from Avalanche Lake at all, and beautiful scenery and great skiing is what you obtain at Whiteface Mountain. Yeah, come here to Avalanche Lake for a brilliant time. If you come at the right time of year, John's Brook offers some pleasant whitewater, and you can go for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail. This place, Avalanche Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff.
