You can run the rapids of The Branch right next door to Ash Craft Pond; camping at Paradise Pines Camping Resort is always a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Stimson Trail is always a perfect adventure. The annual rainfall here at Ash Craft Pond is about average; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. There is a nice hiking trail near Ash Craft Pond called the Weston Trail, and Whiteface Mountain is a very popular ski area in close proximity. You get a great view of Feeder Mountain from Ash Craft Pond, and everyone loves Four Mile Meadow. All through the summer months at Ash Craft Pond highs are usually in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
