I kayaked this stretch the day after a big rainstorm in a recreational kayak and it was considerably more difficult than the review makes it out to be. Several downed trees and a huge beaver dam were the worst obstacles. Bingham Mills to Dales Bridge has some dangerous spots. Dales Bridge to the Hudson River is considerably tamer but only about a 40 minute trip. I kayaked it in early June 2006.... |
