    Many people like to go to Lake Andrew. Gore Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff; there are some nice whitewater spots on Cold River. But wait, there's more to do close to Lake Andrew. Don't leave Lake Andrew without first going for a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and a glorious close by hotel is Best Western Mountain Lake Inn. The amount of precipitation that falls at Lake Andrew is close to the national average; August is the month that gets  
   the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is bountiful here in the Adirondack Mountains. Prague Inn Stes and Cottages is a nice location to get some rest; Whispering Pines Campground is a magnificent campground here. Camping at Lake Andrew is great fun, Pioneer Village is a great local campground; there's whitewater on Boreas River - Upper for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. One
 
               of the major highlights of the surroundings of Lake Andrew is Mount Andrew.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Van Hoevenberg Trail, and since you're here, you could also pop by delightful Beaver Pond. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Adirondack Mountains. Going for a hike on the Indian Pass Trail is always a glorious adventure; wonderful skiing awaits you at Mount Pisgah.
Through the summertime months, highs generally are in the 70's at Lake Andrew. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Andrew temperatures sink to the 0's.
