It's always fun to stop by Anawanda Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Holiday Mountain while you're here, and if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Inn Liberty NY is a magnificent choice. Dry warm beds await you at Villa Roma Resort Lodges, and Roscoe Campsites is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful.

| | hours it's generally in the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 30's while Anawanda Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If time allows, Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River is a national park worth a visit; Twin Village Golf Club is a delightful golf course close by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Callicoon Creek - North Branch, and a lake close by is Mud Pond.

the Schiff Trail, and Anawanda Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Russell Brook Campsite is a fine place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Petrillo Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; if you come at the right time of year, Callicoon Creek - East Branch offers some tremendous whitewater.

Do you have any info on ice fishing Big Pond? I'll be there on 2-7-09. fishing shallow or deep for trout? I normally fish on the Peapacton. only fished BP once, and had a nice trout hit, but missed him! Thanks....
