There are some splendid whitewater spots on Moose River - South Branch. Lakes are delightful; Buck Ponds is a lake that's close to Amos Lake. Amos Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is a splendid local campground; brilliant hiking is available along the Sucker Brook Trail. Summertime highs at Amos Lake usually tend       to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Amos Lake are in the 0's. Amos Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Indian River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; McCauley Mountain is relatively near. These                  mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Amos Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. There's brilliant hiking along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail, and there are swamps here too, Belden Vly is close at hand.
