A great place to stop at in the vicinity of Amber Lake is Pelnor Hollow, and skiing at Holiday Mountain is one of those things you just should do. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Amber Lake. Paddling on Tremper Kill River is so much fun, and dry warm beds await you at Roscoe Motel. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Twin Village Golf Club not far from Amber Lake, and why       not take a look at close by Bascom Brook while you're here at Amber Lake. There's so much to do here at Amber Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Roscoe Campsites is a tremendous spot for that, and Beaver Kill River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. If you came to camp Russell Brook Campsite is a great site to do that, and Reynolds House Inn & Motel is a good place to get some rest. You're in all probability keen on lakes, Clear Lake                  is one of those nearby, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Schiff Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Burnt Hill is picturesque and can be made out from Amber Lake. The high level of rain makes Amber Lake a relatively wet place; the month with most of the rain is May, and February is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Amber Lake, and the overnight is fairly cooler of course, commonly in the 50's.
