After a long day outdoors Lake View Motel is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and not far from Allen Lake you'll hit upon Bailey Pond which is a pretty lake. The Village Motel is a tremendous site to get some rest, and glide down the rapids of East Canada Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're dropping by Allen Lake from Oneonta, you won't be the only one. There's so much       to do here at Allen Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Ringwood Farms Campground is a good site for that. For the period of the summertime at Allen Lake highs are commonly in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Allen Lake are in the 10's.
