There are some good whitewater spots on Saranac River, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the North                  Shore Trail. From a rain point of view Lake Alice is a pretty typical place; through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. The warmest time of the year at Lake Alice comes with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 50's.
