What a nice lake Alford Pond is. This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Ausable River - West Branch, and golf can be played at Craig Wood Golf & Country Club. On a beautiful day you acquire a vista of Hennessy Mountain from Alford Pond, and while you're here, you could also go to stunning Cameras Pond. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Adirondack Mountains,

| | too tremendous to be true. There is a perfect hiking trail near Alford Pond called the Van Hoevenberg Trail, and camping at Pioneer Village is always a great experience. At Alford Pond during the summertime highs are in the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. just come on down to Alford Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Ausable River - West Branch, and The Whiteface Lodge is a glorious location to get some rest. All year is a glorious
time in the Adirondack Mountains if you adore the outdoors. On a fine day at Alford Pond you can take a hike along the McKenzie Pond Trail, and Mount Pisgah is a very popular ski area in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful.
The Indian Pass Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood of Alford Pond, and if you need a place to stay Swiss Acres Inn is a pleasant choice. Head up to Whiteface Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Alford
Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Adirondak Loj is a good local campground, and Wolf Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. From a precipitation point of view Alford Pond is a reasonably common place; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest month of the year is February.

Its not too difficult for the amateur hikers and has a few trails off to the side that are a bit more difficult and fun for the experienced hikers.
