Alder Pond is a nice lake to visit. This place, Alder Pond, it simply has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Woods Valley, and do take a hike on the Party Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Alder Creek Golf Course & Country Inn is in close proximity, and if you've had enough of Alder Pond, Forestport Reservoir is close by. Gotta ski! Snow Ridge is a good place to do that,

| | and Alder Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Stysh's Brown Barn Campgrounds is a good local campground. A good deal of rainfall falls at Alder Pond; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. At Alder Pond you always meet someone from Utica-Rome, and Little Woodhull Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the Adirondack Mountains. Nearby | |

lakes? Sure, Kayuta Lake is next to Alder Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Alder Pond; Stone Dam Trail is a delightful local trail. All through the summer at Alder Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Through
the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Alder Pond. You can run the rapids of Black River in close proximity
to Alder Pond, and why not stop by nearby Alder Creek since you're here at Alder Pond. You just ought to have a thing about the Adirondack Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Forty Mountain Trail, and dry warm beds

Forty Mountain Trail

Wet seasons can make the slopes tretcherous, and the trail dissapears at the base of the mountain. One must plot a compass course or use a GPS.
