Alder Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Near Alder Pond you come across the Long Swing Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you came to camp Echo Lake Southwoods is a good place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Sagamore is a splendid spot to spend a night or two, and Desolate Swamp is an exciting swamp next to Alder Pond. You'll truly wish for more hours

| | in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Adirondack Mountains. There are splendid locations to explore along the Peaked Hill Trail, and Dark Bay is nearby and always nice to go to.
Going for a hike on the Pharoah Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure, and there are other places here than Alder Pond, for example Spectacle Pond. The annual rain here at Alder Pond is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year | |

is February. Dry warm beds await you at Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel, and Schroon River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Adirondack Mountains. Alder Pond is glorious
enough to spend more than a day at, Medcalf Acres Campsite is a glorious local campground; not far from Alder Pond you'll stumble on Goose Pond which is a pretty lake. Through the summer highs here at Alder Pond reach the 70's, and
all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Alder Pond tend to be in the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the
vicinity of Alder Pond. Whitewater paddling is splendid on The Branch, and from Alder Pond you obtain a pleasant sight of Bear Mountain.
This lake is located in the wonderful Adirondack Mountains.
