    If you are in this part of New York make sure to pay a visit to Alcove Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous panorama of scenic Mud Hill is available from Alcove Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Alcove Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Earlton Hill is a good place for that. For you golfers we recommend nearby Sycamore Country Club, and you can run the rapids of Hannacrois Creek. Alcove Reservoir gets a normal amount of annual  
   rain; the month with most of the rain is June; February is when it's the driest.
The Catskill Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more exciting things to do in the Catskill Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Alcove Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Don Knudsen, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Motel. For the duration of the months of summer at Alcove Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
