    Go to Airdwood Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. High temperatures at Airdwood Lake all through the summer are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Airdwood Lake drop into the 0's. Airdwood Lake is one of the lakes here in the Adirondack Mountains. You completely must like Airdwood Lake. After a long day  
   outdoors Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, Ny is a great location to spend a night or two; you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Oxbow Lake is one of those nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Airdwood Lake from Gloversville, you won't be the only one; one of the principal highlights of the surroundings of Airdwood Lake is Brush Mountain. Airdwood Lake is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls through
 
               August while February is generally the driest month.
All the outdoors cool things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Camping at Pine Lake Campground and RV Park is always a tremendous experience; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Gallop Creek. Moffit Beach is near Airdwood Lake if you're in a beach type of mood, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hamilton Mountain Fire Tower Trail. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sacandaga River - West Branch, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Sucker Brook Trail.
Yeah, come up here to the Adirondack Mountains for a great time. Swamps don’t sound that magnificent but Priests Vly in the vicinity of Airdwood Lake is relatively magnificent, and needless to say, this is a brilliant neighborhood for people who like lakes, Buckhorn Lake is a lake close at hand. Camping is available at Campsite; Piseco Outlet has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by.

Buckhorn Lake is a private Association Lake located 2 miles north of Unadilla, New York (in Otsego County). Very friendly towns folk and this lake holds the New York State Record for a Large Mouth Bass caught in 1994. The lake is fed by many underground springs but is not ery deep. Makes for a lovely, though short drive around it....

Never been there...going there soon though....l\Love it there, going today. :)...Great spot for swimming in the summer. Clear waters, with many rocks and small cliffs to jump off, along with a rope swing! Its a heavily used area, made apparent by the large amount of garbage left around during the busy months, but  all in all a good lake and definatley worth the short hike....
