New York has many beautiful lakes and Afton Lake is one of them. After a long day outdoors Howard Johnson Hotel is a great spot to spend a night or two; Bumps Creek is in the vicinity of Afton Lake and is always a bliss to stop by. A great nearby hotel is Sidney Super 8 Motel. Lakes? Sure, Taft Pond is close by. Camping at Echo Lake Resort and Campground is always a delightful experience, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Ouleout Creek.

This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Riverside RV Campground; a round of golf at nearby Afton Golf Club is a brilliant way to kill some time.

Elk is uncrowded and really fun. They seem to make the best out off the conditions weather gives them. Good, long trails(for Pa). I liked the mini park. The ''bigger'' park made the best of the space. I surface lift in the park lets you session as long as you want, and stay in the park. Great for dialing in on my skillz. Couple of the rail and box features are really cool. I will go to Elk a couple times a year.... |
