Washoe Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. A good nearby hotel is Carson City - Days Inn, and obviously, this is a magnificent neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Deadmans Canyon Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is abundant here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Beaches are great; and South Beach next to Washoe Lake is no exception, and camping at       Camp N Town is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Silver Oak Golf Club not far from Washoe Lake; if you came to camp Washoe Lake State Park is a great site to do that. The slopes of Mt. Rose are so inviting nobody can resist; close by you stumble on the Mount Rose Trail which is a great hiking trail. Washoe Lake gets very little rain; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is the month with the                  least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Washoe Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Washoe Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. This place, Washoe Lake, it just has so much outdoors fun stuff. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Carson City is a great choice; the Mount Rose Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. There's whitewater on Truckee River for all you adrenaline kick people; obviously Franktown Creek is a pretty stream that is worth a visit. But wait, there's more to do near Washoe Lake. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Diamond Peak, and most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Little Washoe Lake is just a very short distance away. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada.
