Virginia Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Why not explore close by Evans Creek since you're here at Virginia Lake, and nearby you come across the Mount Rose Trail which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Truckee River. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna return back home again. | | beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Moana Hot Springs, and a great nearby hotel is Quality Inn South.
That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Virginia Lake has it all. At Virginia Lake you always meet someone from Reno-Sparks, and camping is available at Tiki Village Trailer Park. friendly staff. Camping at Silver Sage RV Park is always a good experience, and going for a hike on the Mount Rose Trail is always a perfect adventure.
That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the
Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Really nice skiing awaits you at Mt. Rose; Peppermill Hotel and Casino is a nice place to get some rest. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Virginia Lake gets very little rain;
all through the month of January you get the most rain around here; August on the other hand is the driest.
At Virginia Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, typically
in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's while Virginia Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
