On a great day at Spooner Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14, and Spooner Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Clear Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground. Spooner Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want       to return back home again. While you're here at Spooner Lake you can take a hike along the Mount Rose Trail, and skiing at Mt. Rose is one of those things you just must do. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail near Spooner Lake called the Mount Rose Trail, and you should without doubt dedicate some time to Lower Prey Meadows if you're here at Spooner Lake. That right there is a load of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Northern                  Sierra Nevada has it all. White Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Spooner Lake, and near Spooner Lake you come across a golf course called Glenbrook Golf Course. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Truckee River. Spooner Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you want a little side trip, try Montreal Canyon; not far from Spooner Lake you'll find Marlette Reservoir which is a wonderful lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Marlette Lake, and Captain Pomin Rock is an exciting place to stop by while at Spooner Lake. The warmest time of the year at Spooner Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Spooner Lake all through the wintertime frequently plunge into the 10's. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the area near Spooner Lake has to offer.
