Lots of people from Reno-Sparks come to Spanish Springs, and unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Manzanita Lake is a lake in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Truckee River offers some tremendous whitewater, and camping is available at Sparks Marina RV Park. At Spanish Springs all through the summertime highs are in the 80's; during       summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Spanish Springs dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn And Suites By Marriott Reno/Sparks is a fine place to spend a night or two, and you're perhaps keen on lakes, Alexander Lake is one of those close by.
