You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area near Sleeman Pond has to offer. Here at Sleeman Pond you'll probably meet some folks from Elko, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Elko Hamilton Stage Route. Some close by water includes Lee Creek, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Ruby Crest Trail. Sleeman Pond is pretty arid usually; November is when you get the most       rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at South Fork State Recreation Area is always a magnificent experience, and Comfort Inn Elko is a tremendous place to get some rest. Sleeman Pond is not the only site close by, Zunino Reservoir is a close by lake. Summer at Sleeman Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's while night lows are generally in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are usually in the                  30's while Sleeman Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If the weather is perfect here at Sleeman Pond, you can go for a hike along the Smith Creek Trail; if you've had enough of Sleeman Pond, Dry Farm Reservoir is close by.
