This lake is so wonderful. The Corral Valley Trail is a great hiking trail close to Powell Trough, and get yourself into a kayak and hit West Walker River. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Powell Trough reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's;       night lows in the 20's for Powell Trough. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Powell Trough. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Gardnerville, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Topaz Lake.
