North Furlong Lake is located in the Ruby Mountains. Throughout the months of summer, highs mostly are in the 90's at North Furlong Lake with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at North Furlong Lake temperatures fall to the 10's. A tremendous forest near North Furlong Lake is Ruby Mountain Ranger District, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike                  along the Ruby Crest Trail. North Furlong Lake is mostly a relatively dry place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
