If you like lakes and you're in this part of Nevada you can check out Mud Lake. A day at Incline Beach in the vicinity of Mud Lake is time well spent, and delightful scenery and brilliant skiing is what you acquire at Northstar at Tahoe. Good hiking is available along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Homewood while you're here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.

| | Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is excellent! Hyatt High Sierra Lodge is a wonderful place to get some rest, and at Mud Lake you always meet someone from Carson City. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors McCloud Condominiums is a good spot to spend a night or two, and on a lovely day you acquire a great vista of Relay Peak from Mud Lake. You definitely have to love Mud Lake. No need to travel far to explore | |

Why not take a look at Incline Lake Dam if you're here. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Lake has to offer, you can camp
at Mount Rose Campground. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Mud Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sandy Beach Campground is a delightful site for
that, and Old Brockway Golf Course is a glorious golf course close by.
At Mud Lake you don’t see much precipitation; during January this area sees the most snow; the driest month of the year is July. Now, you may feel that's heaps
but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Beaches are tremendous; and Burnt Cedar Beach near Mud Lake is no exception, and you can go for a hike on the Mount Rose Trail. Through the months of summer,
highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Mud Lake while overnight lows are mostly in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Mud Lake descend into the 0's.
