Great Basin National Park is a nice place right next door to Millard Canyon Reservoir, and close by you discover Coyote Canyon which is a tremendous site to explore. Millard Canyon Reservoir gets very little rain; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Coyote Spring is a pleasant local attraction.
