Go to Little Alkali Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area close to Little Alkali Lake has to offer. Hiking along the Lost Canyon Trail is wonderful fun; get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Carson River - East Fork. A great close by hotel is Best Western Topaz Lake Inn, and Little Alkali Lake is not the only place nearby, Topaz Lake is a nearby lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to

At Little Alkali
Lake you don’t see much precipitation; through January this area sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.
If you need a place to stay Super 8 Gardnerville is a great choice, as expected you could also check out Powell Trough if you're here; it's not far at all.

...t. All sites are full service spacious sites and each have electricity, sewer, water, cable TV and Wi-Fi.
Each pull-thru site even has double sewer for easier connection by Motor homes or 5th wheels. Sites range in size from 25-30 feet in width and 40-68 feet in depth. Sites are graveled which allow for easy in and out access. Large 12-14 trees populate each site along with a picnic table.
The new bathhouse was built for use by RV’ers. There are four private baths each with its own shower, sink and toilet. There is also a laundry room with coin-operated washers and dryers and for the RV groups that want a place to have a pot-luck or to play cards, there is even a clubhouse.
RV’ers also have full access to the other amenities of the Resort, such as, swimming pool, horseshoes, swings, walking paths and more.
Of course, the surrounding area allows for a number of outdoor activities such as, fishing, boating , skiing, ATV riding, hiking, snowmobiling, bird watching and so much more!
