Little Alkali Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If the weather is beautiful, you get a great vista of Gray Hills from Little Alkali Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on West Walker River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Lost Canyon Trail; Little Alkali Lake is a delightful place to visit for

summer days highs here at Little Alkali Lake get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Little Alkali Lake.
