The Bristlecone Pine Glacier Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Johnson Lake is great fun, Shoshone Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little spree to North Fork Baker Creek; a tour to Great Basin National Park is worthwhile. So much amusing stuff in the Snake Range, just extraordinary. You get a magnificent view of Baker Peak from Johnson       Lake, and Johnson Lake is a glorious spot to camp, Wheeler Peak Campground is a glorious spot. There's nice hiking along the Baker Shoshone Trail; there are other places here than Johnson Lake, for example Baker Lake. It is very arid here at Johnson Lake typically; the month with most of the rain is March; January on the other hand is the driest. If you adore the outdoors, you'll like Johnson Lake. Johnson Lake is right by the Highland Ridge Trail, and Holiday                  Inn Hotels Ely is a fine spot to get some rest. Johnson Lake is located in the Snake Range.
