    Go to Hunter Creek Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Truckee River; Upper Peavine Creek Reservoir is a great lake nearby. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not have a look at Lower Peavine Creek Reservoir close to Hunter Creek Reservoir, and going for a hike along the Mount Rose Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of  
   this neighborhood. Hunter Creek Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Very pretty scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Diamond Peak; Hunter Creek Dam has glorious water scenery. High temperatures at Hunter Creek Reservoir through the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in
 
               the 40's; night lows at Hunter Creek Reservoir during the wintertime generally descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Lawtons Hot Springs is a beautiful site to take a look at while you're at Hunter Creek Reservoir, and you can have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Mount Rose Trail.
Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a tremendous time here at Hunter Creek Reservoir. Skiing at Mt. Rose is one of those things you just have to do. Hunter Creek Reservoir gets very little rainfall; during the month of January you get the most rain around here, and August is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Sands Regency Hotel & Casino, and why not camp at Keystone RV Park since you're here at Hunter Creek Reservoir.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Alum Creek flows through this neighborhood, and a round of golf at nearby Northgate Golf Club-Reservations is a tremendous way to kill some time.
