Man, is there a lot of entertaining things to do near Hunter Creek Reservoir. A good nearby hotel is Desert Rose Inn; the slopes of Mt. Rose are so inviting nobody can resist. For the duration of the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Hunter Creek Reservoir. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 40's, and nighttime lows       at Hunter Creek Reservoir throughout the winter frequently drop into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Diamond Peak is a tremendous local ski area, and Hunter Creek Dam is a charming place, absolutely worth a visit.
