Groves Lake is a location that is reasonably dry generally; most of the rain falls through March, and the driest month is July. At Groves Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Groves Lake through the winter typically sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.       Go for a hike on the Toiyabe Crest Trail. Groves Lake is located in the Toiyabe Range. Why not take a look at Kingston Canyon Dam while you're here; Groves Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kingston Campground is a great local campground.
