A wonderful place to pop by near Groves Lake is Burnt Canyon, and camping at Kingston Campground is always a great experience. Around Groves Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. Summer at Groves Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets       highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Groves Lake tend to be in the 10's. The Toiyabe Range scenery is always beautiful. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Toiyabe Range, not sufficient time. An exciting thing to go to in close proximity to Groves Lake is Kingston Canyon Dam, and camping is available at Big Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
