If you are in Washoe county it's always a good idea to stop by Grass Lake. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back home again. Grass Lake is not the only site close by, Hidden Lake is a close by lake, and Grass Lake is right by the Mount Rose Trail. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do close to Grass Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Truckee River, and why not take a refreshing hike along

This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something near Grass Lake? Lower Price Lake is in the neighborhood; if you came for an overnight stay Washoe Lake State Park is a brilliant spot to camp. Peak from Grass Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Truckee River.
Why not camp at Mount Rose Campground if you're here at Grass Lake; nothing beats kicking back at Burnt Cedar
Beach. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Diamond Peak, and dry warm beds await you at Hyatt High Sierra Lodge. You're sure to stumble upon some cheerful people from Carson City here, and PARKSIDE
INN AT INCLINE is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
Summertime highs at Grass Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's while
the cold winter nights at Grass Lake are in the 0's. That right there is a load of fun things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Gotta ski! Mt. Rose is a fine spot to do that, and you can hit the beach
if you want, Incline Beach is practically right here. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Wolf Run Golf Club.
