Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Echo Lake. Echo Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November; July is when it's the driest. Why not camp at South Fork State Recreation Area since you're here at Echo Lake; a good panorama of lovely Mount Gilbert is available. Echo Lake is a beautiful lake in the Ruby Mountains.       Throughout the long summer days at Echo Lake highs are usually in the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Echo Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This location, the Ruby Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Hiking along the Smith Creek Trail is splendid fun, and a lake nearby is Seitz Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on                  the Ruby Crest Trail, as expected you could also stop at Griswold Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
